In Colombia, the 99 Law of December 1993, which organized the National Environmental System, emphasizes as one of the foundations of national policy the development of environmental impact studies as a "basic tool for decision-making", on activities that are notoriously affecting the environment (Law 99/93, article 1, numeral 11). In this direction, Decree 1752 of 1994, which regulates Title VIII of Law 99, has defined the process of environmental impact assessment as an instrument to identify, describe and estimate quantitatively the potential environmental effects generated by the execution of projects or activities. (National Department of Planning - Ministry of the Environment, 1995). That why we performed the evaluation to the general cleaning service in clinics and hospitals in the departments of Valle del Cauca, Nariño and Tolima where Power Services is present. In order to be able to carry out this evaluation successfully, a non-experimental field research was carried out with a cross-section. The primary source of information was direct observation, where photographic and documentary records were taken of the processes and procedures involved in the provision of the service, in order to prepare each one of the evaluation matrix that allowed the adequate analysis of the results.
