dc.descriptionEl proyecto realizado consiste en un diagnostico ambiental en el batallon de infanteria de selva no. 45 “General Prospero Pinzon”; El Ejército nacional siendo consciente del deterioro de los recursos naturales y bajo el criterio de responsabilidad social, precisa la necesidad de adoptar medidas institucionales para la disminución en la afectación del ambiente; considerando la dimensión ambiental en el desempeño permanente de sus actividades a través de diversas estrategias de planificación, busca enfocar y adoptar principios rectores ambientales para el cumplimiento estructural de su misión. El diagnóstico ambiental de las instalaciones del batallón permitió exponer su estado de desarrollo y proponer acciones que fortalezcan el desempeño ambiental. Se pretende orientar al batallón en un proceso de gestión ambiental que permitan además de cuidar el medio ambiente, reducir costos por uso de recursos naturales y posteriormente direccionar al batallón para la creación del sistema de gestión ambiental. Para lograr lo anterior se usaron fuentes de información, tanto primarias como secundarias que permitieron examinar y valorar el comportamiento ambiental del batallón. Mediante entrevistas con el personal y revisión de las instalaciones se estableció una línea de tendencia del comportamiento del consumo de recursos por parte de la Unidad Militar. Se realizaron estrategias para mitigar y fortalecer el desempeño ambiental de las instalaciones, las cuales permitieron consolidar la información recolectada y orientar las actividades necesarias para tener un control adecuado de los impacto ambientales que ocasionan en las instalaciones, todo esto con el fin de mejorar el desempeño ambiental del batallón de infantería de selva no. 45 “General Prospero Pinzon” el cual pretende ser la primer unidad táctica de la región en consolidar un esquema de gestión ambiental.

The environmental diagnosis of the installations of the battalion allowed to expose its state of development and propose actions that strengthen the environmental performance. The aim is to guide the battalion in an environmental management process that, in addition to caring for the environment, reduces costs for the use of natural resources and, subsequently, directs the battalion to create an environmental management system. In order to achieve this, information sources were used, both primary and secondary, which allowed us to examine and assess the environmental behavior of the battalion. Through interviews with the personnel and review of the facilities, a trend line was established regarding the behavior of the consumption of resources by the Military Unit. Strategies were implemented to mitigate and strengthen the environmental performance of the facilities, which allowed consolidating the information collected and guiding the necessary activities to have an adequate control of the environmental impacts that they cause in the facilities, all this in order to improve the performance environmental of the jungle infantry battalion no. 45 "General Prospero Pinzon" which aims to be the first tactical unit in the region to consolidate an environmental management scheme.
