Descripción
Se caracterizó cada pieza y material de los medidores de agua y posteriormente se consultó las propiedades de cada material. Debido a que no se encontró información precisa sobre la composición del composite plástico (principal componente: cuerpo externo de los medidores), se realizaron pruebas de laboratorio y ensayos experimentales pertinentes que permitieron una caracterización; como base para la posterior formulación de alternativas preliminares de reciclaje (cuatro en total, tres de estas centradas en el composite) relacionadas con la misión de Hidromed S.A. A cada una de estas se les realizó una evaluación de factibilidad técnico – ambiental y un análisis preliminar de costos, que permitió visibilizar la mejor opción. Para la evaluación de factibilidad técnico – ambiental se utilizó y propuso una metodología de carácter cualitativo y cuantitativo, bastante útil para propuestas preliminares.
